Access

The Forest places the spring “just east of the campground” at Buckeye Campground on Buckeye Creek, 7,000 feet, in the Bridgeport Ranger District, and describes it directly: “The spring comes out above the creek, over a rock overhang, which creates a cave-like area in the pool. This is a very popular spring year round.” Directions from Bridgeport: Highway 395, west about seven miles on Twin Lakes Road, right on Buckeye Road for about three miles, then left at the fork and another mile to the campground. Potable water is not available at the site.

Trailhead: Buckeye Campground, Buckeye Road

Winter: The Forest calls it “a very popular spring year round,” but the campground itself runs only late May to late September.
