Access

The Forest publishes a Jordan Hot Springs Trail on the Kern River Ranger District, “Accessed via the Blackrock Trailhead.” The trail “Enters the Golden Trout Wilderness and goes to the Inyo National Forest.” The posted trail season is May through November, there are no fees, vehicles including bicycles are prohibited in the wilderness, and a Golden Trout Wilderness permit is required for overnight stays.

Trailhead: Blackrock Trailhead

Winter: The Forest posts a May–November season for the trail.

Access notes read from the manager's own page, checked 2026-08-19.

Worth knowing: The Forest names and dates the trail but publishes no mileage, no elevation profile, and no description of the springs themselves; the distance class is an editorial band from the spring’s NCEI position and trail details are not manager-verified — verify locally. The Forest’s trail page says the trail enters the Golden Trout Wilderness and goes on to the Inyo National Forest.
